Pirates of the Burning Sea is coming

Finally… an MMO - arrrrrr - PG!
I’m usually on the Ninja side of the great Pirates Vs. Ninjas debate (as in, ‘a Ninja could totally kick a Pirate’s ass’). Until they make an MMO Ninja game, PotBS will be a fine substitute. This game makes out to be everything that the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean game wasn’t: dynamic and complex character creation, a robust combat engine (with hot ship-on-ship) action, and a rich, open world.
I’m especially interested in the gameplay options: you can have a career as a Pirate (of course), but also a trader or merchant, a captain in a royal navy, and more.
